Nibelungen Bridge Tower

Worms, Germany

The remaining twin gate tower on the Nibelungen bridge, was built 1897-1900, the second gate on the opposite side of the river was destroyed in 1945 shortly before the end of WWII.

I will be away for a few days and may be slow in commenting but will catch up as soon as I can.

What a study in contrasts... the old-world bridge with a modern highway cutting through it, and a POV that suggests you had to climb right onto the roadway!
