Surprise Snow Day

Mackenbach, Germany

The Storks MOVED their nest BACK to the original
spot on the church chimney to the chagrin of the parishioners since they prior
to the storks return; moved the nest (see the platform in back on the roof) So
they now will have to again turn off the heat system inside the church until the stork
family flies back south in the early Fall.

The second shot shows last Year's nest.

Terrific series of captures in such superb surroundings, Tom. ~V

Two wonderful captures. The upper image has a very cold feeling with the stork looking frozen in place while the lower image the steeple with the clock dominates and the stork seems more of an interesting and humorous side note. I wonder if the stock was preparing for a "delivery"? A sharp eye to see this and very nicely captured. Voted

The contrast of the defined shapes and the stork is amusing and eye catching. "vVv"

Great photo and a very funny one. Beautiful snowy day photo with the stork on the chimney nest but knowing the story of the platform made my day. Great. Vote.

I was wondering what that did when I saw to nest on the chimney. Nice to hear they were so considerate of the stork family! V
