My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love

Berlin, Germany

One of the best known graffiti paintings on the remaining Berlin wall at the East Side Gallery,
by Dmitri Vrubel. Created in 1990, the painting depicts Brezhnev and Honecker in a fraternal
embrace, reproducing a photo taken in 1979 at the 30 anniversary celebration
of the foundation of the GDR (DDR).
