Early Visitor

was really surprised to see this very early hoverfly (Eristalis tenax)(thanks fdt for identifying).
I sent the photo to the local newspaper. They thought it unusual too and published it
with an article about the atypical weather conditions this Winter.

Yes there is no winter in our countries, so insects too will be a bit confused and coming out earlier than normal...
