They laid to rest today (12 Jan 2016) a great American soldier, Command Sergeant Major Hank Horne. I had the privilege of working with him during the mid-1970's and traveled throughout the USA, as well as Alaska and Panama. I can attest that he was the consummate NCO ... a very real example for all who worked with him (officers and enlisted). He eventually lost his final 3-yr battle with cancer but he faced the transition with the courage, determination and dignity that he always showed in anything and everything he undertook. We lost a really good one today ......
