The 1984 Louisiana World Exposition, held in New Orleans, was a world's fair that ran from May 12 to November 11, 1984, with the theme "The World of Rivers: Fresh Water as a Source of Life." Despite attracting over 7 million visitors, it faced financial difficulties and ultimately declared bankruptcy, becoming the last world's fair held in the United States.
