After running Lusco’s restaurant for 45 years, Andy and Karen Pinkston are closing one of Greenwood’s most popular dining establishments. The husband and wife have owned and operated the restaurant since 1976
A unique blend of Italian and Creole cuisine has defined Lusco’s and made it a destination dining tradition. Guests have come to savor not only extraordinary meals, but the Lusco’s experience as well – a focus on enjoying the time spent with good company in a laidback atmosphere.
Along the way, Lusco’s won renown far beyond its home state, and helped establish a style of dining unique to the Mississippi Delta, one loosely based on steak and seafood (and, if you’re lucky, tamales) served in timeworn spaces with the electric atmosphere of a juke joint.
