Our plane to fly us to Vieques (island). These small commercial airlines do things a little different than the states. When everyone is on board, the pilots go door to door telling each row where the closest exit is (the door you got in), where the fire extinguisher is and where a life vest is. They close your door. When they are finished, they jump in their seats, shut the door, buckle up, hit the start switches to start the engines & go. There's no 15 minute preflight list. Once the plane has taxied to the end of the runway, a quick glance around to make sure another plane is not coming in for landing and off we go on our take off roll.
