The first sunset I took the pictures from the standard area that everyone goes to. The shadows that the winter sun throws puts most of the arch into shadows before sunset. There is spot that you can veer off of the main path from just as you get to the top of the slate rock. This puts you on the hill just to the Southwest of the Arch (places you on the other side of it). This seems to work great. I want to try this in the spring, when the arch will throw a shadow a little further to the left than here. I have seen this angle in a couple of books and it seems to work out nicely.
