Getting there: We took a local bus (Tata Bus) from Kathmandu to Dhunche through to Syabrubesi. The trip took a grueling 11 hours in total. The last section was steep, narrow, unsealed, rocky with recent rockfalls. At times I was looking out the window and down a 500m cliff right next to the bus!
Day 1: The trek commences from Syabrubesi (1460m) and follows a gentle trail to Lama Hotel (2470m). We passed through small settlements of Doman, Landslide Lodge and Bamboo along the way.
