Sedge warbler

London

Acrocephalus schoenobaenus
The sedge warbler is a small, quite plump, warbler with a striking broad creamy stripe above its eye, and greyish brown legs. It is brown above with blackish streaks and creamy white underneath. It is a summer visitor, and winters in Africa, south of the Sahara Desert. Its song is a noisy, rambling warble compared to the more rhythmic song of the reed warbler. (Info from www.rspb.org.uk)

Excellent work! I know how painstaking and the degree of technique required to take definitive shots of various bird species, and you do it really well.

Thanks to your magnificently clear photos I was able to identify the bird I've just seen as a Sedge Warbler - all the other bird sites left me floudering in the dark.
Your photos are wonderful: clear and arresting.
Thanks for sharing them.
