On my travels staying in a hotel near this splendid town hall in Zamosc in Poland. Zamosc was founded in the 16th century by the chancellor Jan Zamoysky. Modelled on Italian theories of the 'ideal city' and built by the architect Bernando Morando, a native of Padua, Zamosc is a perfect example of a late-16th-century Renaissance fortified town. An amazing place and well worth a visit if ever you are out this way. The reflections in the foreground are from the ice skating rink.
