Bad Horn Day?

One from a few weeks back when it was sunny and warm in Glen Tanar, mind we had snow the day before this was taken! Anyway I am suffering a lack of inspiration at the moment, a number of pics I quite like but they just don't seem to quite do it for me. However browsing through a few images this pair rather amused me. Could someone tell me why one has flat horns and the other pointy up ones?

certainly, glad to help...the flat horns are peculiar to the Scots Pragmatist, who likes to keep a level head in all circumstances...the upturned horns signify the famed Scots Optimist, always looking on the bright side, and a bit of a party animal..
