A favourite location of mine, but one I have never got at its best. There is a lovely peace about the place and I always like the way the standing stone sits next to the cross. I had this planned for Christmas Eve hoping for snow but also wanting a jaw dropping sunset, I can never get both! So as ever, compromise. Twenty minutes later just as it was getting dark a snow storm swept in from the east and added another couple of inches - my idea of Christmas!
