Photographed during Davao City’s Kadayawan Festival last August. Early on, the San Pedro Cathedral’s cross already caught my eye. I took seven shots with different cloud formations in the background. Later, I noticed this colorful vinta-like Moro motiff carried by participants from Maguindanao. Islam and Christianity sailing together immediately came to mind. I took 11 more shots of both the cross and the cloth, trying horizontal and vertical shots, waiting for the perfect timing and the right wind to show an unruffled cloth.
