Trillium grandiflorum
The first white trillium that I've seen this year. I spied a large Trillium erectum a dozen yards off the trail - http://www.pbase.com/timbg/image/42664695 When I went to investigate, I found the grandiflorum on the other side of an old stump. I suspect the micro-climate in the swamp has advanced the blooming of all the flora, compared to outside the swamp. I don't expect to find these blooming in the local woodlands for several more weeks.
