We were a little over 12 miles away, and that proved to be too far to get any really good photos. If I do this again, it will have to be from somewhere closer. These photos are cropped from the originals.

I went to see the launch of Atlantis mission ST 101 back in May 2000. I was on the roof of the astronauts hall of fame. It was a long way off but well worth it. I was surprised at how quickly it went up.

Nice, i only saw those trails from my Ft.Laud backyard last night. However i was lucky enough to shoot a night time launch in 2000 STS 92 from the Press Site 3 miles away. search: foto4

Tim - Great Shots! Were you at Jetty Park? I have a few shot from 40 miles away in Kissimmee in my galleries. Shot hand held with a Panasonic Lumix FZ30.
