A Place to Rest

I don’t have to tell anyone on this site how difficult it is to lose one you love. In the loss of Sherri’s dad, my father-in-law and dear friend, we have need for a little time.
When we need to heal, we go to the coast of Maine. That is the plan next week.
Promise to bring back a few things you might enjoy.
Meanwhile, this is a shot of Blue Hill Bay, about 30 minutes from Bar Harbor, in eastern Maine. You’ll notice the dock height here. This is actually almost low tide. In this bay, the tide variation is usually about 14 feet. Makes for some interesting shooting.

Sorry I have commented so little. You are all in my thoughts, and I will be back full-throttle in a week or two. Meanwhile, we are just going away.
Love to you all...

is wonderful and expressive MIchael. Well up to your very high standards.

Elaine: Yes, the bay is part of the Gulf of Maine, which leads to the Atlantic.

I did notice the height of the dock before I read your description, Michael.
Again, so sorry for your loss and Sherri's loss. The loss of a family member is always a trial. Try to remember all the good times you had together, as hard as it may be. Take all the time you need to grieve, everyone is different.
Is this lake connected to the ocean? It looks very peaceful.
