Noisy Mina

I was surprised when I got so close to
this bird.
This is a native mina, not to be confused
with the Indian minas that scavenage,
made a mess and kill our native birds and their eggs.

Super capture, Elaine. So nice that it is a native and not an invasive subspecies. We have a similar problem with our Canada Geese - the local residents are a really messy problem, whereas the migratory Canada Geese are a delight to see.
