Fiddler Beetles are common around Sydney and are named for the fiddle (violin) shaped patterns on their backs.

Most unusual design, Elaine. the folded ribbon effect with shadow, is highly unusual in Nature. And l see Lynn's smiling face too. Looks like a sandal to me :) Good photo.
