Ike

Abilene, Kansas

On a date such as this, when we recall the attack on Pearl Harbor some 61 years ago, almost to the minute (at the time of this posting), I think it appropriate to recall the leader who led the nation through the military campaigns in Europe. This shot was made of the late President's former property in Abilene, Kansas, in front of the Eisenhower Library.
As an American, "I Like Ike", even now...

As Terry says. Appropriate at this time and always.
lt took skill and also great tact for an American general
to be in overall charge of British troops !
