I have not photographed birds for a long time. I'm not as steady as Terry. I couldn't get my shutter speed up to 1/focal length, despite ramping iso to 1600 and introducing noise. It was fun trying and more to come, soon. I suspect that I'll have to adapt Lennart's expert technique of mounting my camera on a sturdy tripod, if I want to succeed.
