The Mojave Air and Space Port is home to Scaled Composites and the various operations of Burt Rutan. We were allowed access to a privately owned collection, and a close-up encounter with the last flying Lockheed L-1011, The Stargazer, which is used to ferry rockets to high-altitude launch.
