579-Where the city never sleeps

Here in Köln's own "Bermuda Dreieck" (Bermuda Triangle) every of these so plain looking
condo houses has at least one small restaurant, if not more. This leads to a sheer
unlimited selection of foods, with meals always prepared in small numbers. These streets
seemingly never calm down even late in the evening. This is the result of the proximity to
the University, and the very cheerful style of Rhinean living, preserved regardless of loss
of architectonic valor. Cologne was one of most destroyed cities in WWII. Much of its original
substance was lost, and in a rush to restore living space, it was never reconstructed.
