| We came from "hot" California to a cool Europe, right? Wrong! In August 2004 Central Europe was suffering from a centennial hit wave, which combined with high humidity in the air confined us mostly to closed cool rooms, such as museums. Next time we will sure explore more vicinity of cities like Cologne! This album shows a few impressions from historic downtown along the Rhine waterfront, the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral) and a brief trip to the colorful Student Viertel in the vicinity of the University of Cologne. Of course, we also walked to the "4711 House" where the original Eau de Cologne still will be sold! They even got a fountain pouring Eau de Cologne without end! |
