New Life Ministries Mission Trip 2006 Santo Domingo Day 5

Today we started our day with a powerful prayer service and then were on our way to church, we somehow managed to forget our equipment but God just took that opportunity to glorify Himself and His perfect plan.. We were able to do the Sunday school with the kids, which was awesome! We danced, worshiped (they had a guitar and a cd player for us to use) and did activities with the kids. Some of us also attended the church service and worship was similar to our worship at home and the Pastor was very much like Pastor Leo- straight up and to the point. The word was from Colossians 2:1-7 and it encouraged us to be rooted in Jesus Christ. God has been doing amazing things in our midst and showing His power within us, there were a few people that were sick at the beginning of our day, but God and His healing hand were upon them. He is showing us that we have power in our words and we are able to heal and we have nothing to fear! God has divinely chosen us and He is equipping us!! Later on we came back to camp and had some time to just relax while God was planning the events of the day. After lunch we waited for some of the kids of the neighborhood to come to the camp. We played baseball with them and spent time with them and all the other kids from the neighborhood! It was a little draining, there were about 100 kids or more; but it was awesome! Some of the guys went out to the neighborhoods while we were with the kids evangelizing and they brought many more children to where we were, it was a blessing. I just want you all to know that we have an awesome group of missionaries on this team and God has already changed all of us…We are growing and God is revealing His will in our lives… It is our second night at the campo Buenas Nuevas, tomorrow we leave at 6am to our longest day yet…. Oh yeah and it rained the majority of the day and we were in the mud, really in the MUD. yes, I slipped and fell and was covered in mud from about 5pm till right before going to sleep…lololol

Ok Love you guys and miss you
