Amen!

Today, we started off in El Progreso where we packed up and began our drive to Santiago near Pimienta. We made it to the school in Pimienta where we met with Raphael (our contact from Miami). We immediately broke off into 2 groups and began to paint the classrooms. We were able to see some of the blessings we sent over in our container like the stove/oven someone donated at The Way Miami. Raphael told me they will be using it to teach culinary classes in the school.
While our 2 groups were painting , a group of our leaders walked the community and visited some homes. After witnessing the destruction firsthand, they felt they had to do something for an elderly woman who was left homeless. Thankfully, they were able to donate almost the full amount needed to replace the roof of her home. Praise God!
After we finished the first 2 rooms, we were able to find some relief at Milena cousins home. Unfortunately, we used her home much more they she would ever expect. Nonetheless she considered it a blessing for us to be in her home and to share a meal with her family. Some of us we able to gather our strength and paint 1 more room before we took a photo with the school banner. We then departed for Conayagua. Mercedes was able to keep us safe while driving through the rainy cool night. After an almost 4 hour drive, we arrived at a restaurant for dinner. We were able to share some fellowship with Allan and Pastor David (servants from our church in Comayagua) After dinner, we finally reached our hotel at 10:30pm.
