We were spending the night at Dhakmar and these are the wonderful red sandstone cliffs behind the village. We managed to climb the steep scree to the base of some of the caves but they were still inaccessible to us. Remnants of timbers and old holes in the cliff face suggested that the caves once had balconies or platforms linking them. One cave had a new door and door frame! The colours of these cliffs are best viewed in the evening as the sun sets. The descent into Dhakmar was quite spectacular.
