As we drove from the airport to the hotel, the rep on the coach tried desperately to point out places of interest along the route...but lets face it, you're really scraping the barrel when you have to point out the night club, or as she put it 'the disco', which looked like a chicken coop.
I've seen bigger garden sheds at B & Q. I could say it had seen better days...but in truth I could be open to a legal case as that would be gross misrepresentation. I was staying in the best part...port el kantoui...and as poor as it was...boy was I glad I never went budget!!...you probably get to sleep under the stars with nothing more than pile of camel turd as a pillow

Nearly every hotel was poor in standard....and we stayed 5 star. food was terrible unless you paid for a good restaurant, and only then did you get anything approaching palatable for what was a lot of money. If you think cous cous is a great dish, then are you in for a great holiday!.
At one cafe in the 'best part', I asked for a cheese crepe and a milk shake...I got a pancake with a tiny amount of grated cheese and a nesquick...I kid you not. The owner then proceded to tell me "good crepe huh?, is de best in town my friend"
