PCSO for New Haw and Woodham, Paul Woodhouse recently completed a gruelling 200 length Swimathon for a local charity. He handed over a cheque for £125 to Chris Hickford, Director of the New Haw Youth Project on Thursday 29 April.

Paul Woodhouse took part in the Butlins Swimathon on 21 March to raise money for the New Haw Youth Project and Macmillan Cancer Relief and he completed the 200 lengths in 3hours 9 minutes.

"It was pretty hard work but I managed to complete it in just over 3 hours which was my goal," said Paul. "I thought the Swimathon would be a great way of raising money for a local worthwhile cause and I'm delighted to be able to present this cheque to the New Haw Youth Project. By working with youth projects in the community, the police and other agencies can help to provide a safe environment for youngsters to meet up and learn new skills and I know this money will be put to very good use."
