I love the bike, especially since I painted it. Took 2 months to design and 4 months to paint. She gets rave reviews where ever I take her. I almost sold it instead of painting it but no regrets. The paint helped me get over the empty whole left by Sept. 11. Being a paramedic/police officer on the scene, I really wanted to help but so many were dead and there was no one left to help. The project brought closure for me, so the bike will be in my collection forever, I hope.
I've taken her to Key West twice and I actually rode it, not put on a trailer. From my home to Key West is 1300 miles. She's been to Daytona Bike Week 3 times (900 miles) but once on a trailer, once on a train and once I drove her. I've also driven her to New York City (a mere 300 miles). I plan on another New York ride this summer.
I also have a 2004 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic tour bike. She's big and built for distance. A much better mount for the long distance riding I enjoy. I'm taking that one to New Hampshire in June (700 miles) then across the entire country next summer. I expect that trip will be 8500 miles. The Harley has a lot of accessories on it for comfort but no new paint yet. I'm considering having the print that I use for my Avatar painted on the front, but not certain yet.
