I don't have the SD500, but I understand that it has a panorama assist mode in it's menu. With regard to the picture of Aunt Esther, alas it wasn't done by me, but by my brother using an average scanner. It's not hard to do. Good luck.

I am seriously looking at the SD500. Qualities I want are:
picture clarity & speed of which I can take the pictures. I am in no way a specialist but just love to take pictures and have pictures everywhere. Size is of course then imporotant (that is why I would like the SD500. I love my Nikon 4300 but I want more speed when snaping the pictures and a smaller (purse size) camera. I also like the scene modes of the 4300. That being said I was about to buy the SD500 but Ritz suggested I wait and look at the Nikon 7900, something about the d-lighting and also a NICE to Have (expecially after seeing your pictures) panamoric! Any input you can give me I would VERY much appreciate it. ALSO, something I am dreaming of doing for my family at Christmas is to make a collection of old pictures on a CD for them which brings me to my primary question...How did you get such a nice picture fo this picture?
THanks so much for you time and look forward to hearing from you.
