#165 Slateford Aqueduct

This is the Slateford Aqueduct on the Union Canal, its
on my cycle route to/from work.
It's a slightly unnerving ride across the rough
cobbled path just wide enough for one bike.
The aqueduct crosses the Water of Leith and a roadway
about 80ft below, its about 600ft long and was built in 1822.

PS thats not me, I had stopped to let the other cyclist through !

Great B/W here... I like the sky reflection, the perspective and the rider.
I agree, not sure I'd want to ride along on the slope of the canal edge...

Nice route to have to take. Better wear your swim trunks!

Bad boys!!! You're not meant to cycle you know! ;) Would have been a great rippled reflection if he'd fallen...

Nice setting - I like the perspective and the reflections too. The cyclist adds a nice touch and some scale to the photo as well.

Lovely b&w. Bet you don't ride over this if you've had a couple of after work beers!
