#071The Water of Leith

Ive been to Perth today, we had a family day out at Perth Leisure Pool
and a walk by the River Tay. We took everything except .... a compact
flash card ! I only discovered this when I lugged my camera and a spare
lens around the park and started to see some possible shots, "No Flash Card !"
I'd left it at home in the card reader :(

When we got back I nipped down to the local river and managed to get a few
slow shutter shots as the light faded.

The Water of Leith is Edinburgh's main river that starts in the Pentland Hills
to the South West of the City and flows down to the sea at Leith.

This pic shows the river at Colinton, just before it starts its journey through the city.

And another shot of the river:

Wow.

ah, if only I could get a good shot like this every time I forgot my cf card.....

Errr. Where is my cf card by the way?

Keep shots like this coming! :-)

I really like going down here for peace, usually a couple of times a week or so, it's a nice place to go,

Excellent shot John. Havent forgotten a CF card yet but batteries... that's another story.

You only forget the CF card once ! I like the relatively slow shutter speed on this...

Cool and soft. I like the stone bridge in the background.

Outstanding.. did you use any filters on the lens? I also left my spare battery at home the other night..but it was a quick trip to pick it up.

Water of Leith...sounds quite biblical & looks perfect. Now your going to have to return to get those shots you missed.

Nicely done, John.

Haven't done water with slow shutter yet. This is good. Have however left flash card and battery on 2 occasions at home in the last week. My excuse is age what's yours?
Guest 12-Mar-2005 21:42
Well done. Hard to get the exposure and shutter speed right, but you did it.
