7:23 AM, November 21st. Ruby Beach, WA. Look at a map, it's almost the westernmost point of the lower 48 states.
My day started early, I left at 1:45 AM. I planned to go to Hurricane Ridge, but turns out it was closed due to snow. I arrived at the closed road there around 4:30 AM and saw about a billion stars. I didn't take time for pictures though, I wanted to get to the coast for sunrise. It was about 2 more hours of driving to get to Ruby Beach, but it was worth it.
I arrive at the coast around 6:30 AM, and as usual I'm the only person there. It's a great morning, just a few wispy clouds. Not too cold for being late November.
I wander the beach for a few hours. It's hard to get good photos, conditions are changing every second. Each wave is different.
I like this one, the curve of the waves. Nice color and reflection of the color. Good detail in the rocks and trees.
