Birds -- Campus bird walk, Stanford, October 15, 2016

A Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society morning bird walk around the Arboretum and Inner Quad areas of the Stanford campus, led by Bill Pelletier with me as designated photographer, turned up a number good birds. Most interesting were raptors, including a Bald Eagle, a Peregrine Falcon, and Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawks. Other birds that I was able to photograph included a Brown Creeper, White-breasted Nuthatches, Acorn and Nuttall's Woodpeckers, and Western Bluebirds. Two Hutton's Vireos were seen but not photographed, as was a hawk seen harassing a Red-tail high overhead, either a harrier or an accipiter.
