This was an unusual pelagic: limited to six guests, all photographers, in a smaller boat, piloted by Captain and bird guide Vince Orsini. Photography was inhibited by overcast skies throughout the trip, and hoped-for storm-petrels couldn't be found, but nevertheless I thought it was a successful trip, with a Laysan Albatross sighting, and mixed shearwater flocks including many Pink-footed and a few Buller's.
