Mystery Gull

Salinas State Beach, Monterey Co

The gull was originally thought to be a second-winter Glaucous, but now (on the basis of the bulging bill-tip, reminiscent of Western or Glaucous-winged) thought to be possibly a hybrid, perhaps Glaucous x Glaucous-winged.

Perhaps it is an albino or leucistic Herring Gull?
