Glaucous Gull x (Herring?) and Glaucous Gull

Pilarcitos Creek mouth, Half Moon Bay

The hard-to-identify bird in front was analyzed by Alvaro Jaramillo as probably a first-cycle Glaucous Gull, with probable ancestry from another gull species, possibly Herring.

A definite first-cycle Glaucous is behind, a bit out of focus.
