I THINK THIS IS A HUMMINGBIRD MOTH - HE WAS HUGE!!!!! AT LEAST 4 INCHES LONG!

Fort Worth, TX

Okay, it was about 1:30 in the morning and I was putting some stuff on CD's for friends when Sadie, my sweet pooch, decided she needed to go outside for a potty break. Anywho, I opened the back door and this guy flew right into my face. I freaked out....it landed on my glasses and I was hopping around the kitchen because here was this huge thing attacking my face. I finally got him off and he flew around my house for a while and settled on my dining room chair. I got several shots before I nabbed him in a tupperware container and took him outside again. Too close of an encounter for me. I am sure my animals were rolling on the floor laughing their little butts off at me. I'm sure I was quite the sight!

btw...he is now sitting on my outside table. Got a couple of more shots this morning. He's still alive but I think he was as shocked as I was! LOL!

Cindi, not only are you a darn good photographer, but quite an entertainer as well! Thanks for the laughs. That's a beautiful moth and super capture. Vote.
