MEMORIES - SHOOTING FLOWERS

Fort Worth, TX

I remember when I got my first digital camera I shot a lot of flowers. This is one of the subjects I loved to shoot but can't seem to find the time with photoshoots and other project going on all the time. Reminds me I need to slow down and take some time for just me once in a while.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi
1/200s f/10.0 at 135.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

You comment reminds me of "Leisure" By William Henry Davies

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

You need to take more time out for yourself Cindi, especially when this is the result.

But watch out for the bees. You're right, we all live much to FAST. The flowers and little things are there for us to appreciate every day, but we just whizz by them.

I think there is a poem written somewhere about stopping to take time to 'smell roses'. This is a great reminder to us all to slow down and enjoy small pleasures.

Wow, the colors are gorgeous, well composed and sharp detailed image! We do need reminders every now and then to stop and take notice.
