I am guessing they are juvenile Townsend Solitaire. I Googled bird in Oregon and went to this site where you look up birds by location the color, etc.

They look like trees. Don't know what those gray things are.

Yes....I can confirm they are birds....we had some not quite like these in our yard this summer.Really close though...except ours were brown....with red boobs...errr....breasts...they had those pointy sharp things on their faces too!Glad we could help.
