Western whip snake

Les Leves et Thoumeyragues

Hierophis viridiflavus

Another juvenile specimen. This one was rather fierce,
The cat did not wish to venture any closer than about
30cm. This beauty too was about the length of a pencil.

This was the first opportunity that I got to photograph
one of these reptiles without having to hold it or keep
it in place. It disappeared into a wall soon after I took
the shots.
