stunnning image....evoking mix of strange feelings...
people, machinery, useful inventions outliving their course...
or being pushed against the wall to decay...

Remands me my grand-mother's one, but in my memories it was spelled starting with "Z".
Great idea for picture and great execution.

Great shot! My wife's Grandfather owned a Singer sewing machine shop in Alpena Michigan... Sadly, he has departed, the shop closed down, another memorable chapter has closed..... Even though I never met him, somehow I try to imagine what his life must have been like everytime I see an old Singer in a shop window.

Thanks for posting.

Great composition, but the thing that captures me the most is the texture and pattern in the wall. Great shot. v

Great photograph Kees! I've got an old Singer too from 1916 especially for shoemakers. I love the machine. It is lost art.

These are amazing. I hope that you took these sewing machines with you as they could earn you a few bob on ebay. Singer sewing machines are classic tools and worth their weight in gold. Where there any more of them?
