My Road Bike

May it rest in peace (And may the warranty pay for it!) AND SPECIALIZED DID!!

They replaced my 2000 allez A1 comp frame with a 2003 S works E5 frame
When my frame broke; it spun the rear derailleur over and trashed it. I also had to buy a new front derailleur because the new one is a clamp on; the old one was a braze on. Other than that; everything moved over form old bike to new bike. Total cost to Bicycle Warehouse for my new bike: 187.00

I bought a 2000 Specialized Alez and in 2001 the frame broke at the dropout. I was riding from San francisco to Los Angeles in two days and the local bike shop replaced the frame gratis. Thanks. Last year, that new frame broke in almost the same spot. The bike shop, which had closed it doors but but reopened with another owner and new name did the swich over for $220, which included new cables and a new goose neck to match the new for tube to the handel bar.s They said that Specialized fixed the problem.
Today my friend, who also rides a Specialzed Alez, called me to give him a sag. He broke his frame in the same place.
What gives? Is specialized selling bad frames? Why do we have to pay for the change over with a life time guarantee? Why aren't they fixing this problem?
