Ok apparently I missed the vote, but I do also like 7 and how the light source is coming from beneath and not above....mysterious.

Also like the composition/colour scheme of 3 and the lighting in 8.

#8 gets my vote for thinking outside the box. Nice lighting too.

I like # 8, for the originality of thinking outside the box ! The kid is so cute too! Like the way the light hits the child in the dark of night. I actually thought the challenge was "open" (meaning open to anything LOL). Thanks all !

I like #3 as it is different and to me, represents a good capture and play on the "open" .

No 7 - original approach, nicely composed, draws the eye.

That said, #3 is also rather original.
#8 doesn't fit the theme, but it's a very nice shot of a child, with an interesting light source!
