Tracy Arm is a fjord located about half way between Juneau and Petersburg. It is a very narrow and very deep channel that is roughly 30 miles in length and is absolutely beautiful. This is one of the cruise ship industries destinations. At the head of the fjord are two glaciers, the north and south Sawyer glaciers. They are very active and produce a lot of icebergs which can restrict access to the face of either glacier. I will be going back this summer for more photos. If you make a trip to South East Alaska, this is a must do trip but plan ahead. This is a remote area and takes a little planning to get to here. Enjoy.
