Kind of a boring ice cave shot but it is what is in the shot that blows my hair back. Those are stumps sticking up out of the ice. The valleys were full of trees in between the last ice ages and the glaciers came in a laid over the top of them shearing them off at the ground. These were under gravel until the creek washed the gravel away and made this cave. The University of Alaska came in here and they dated these trees stumps to be about 1500 years old. I am tied to a rope sitting on an icy ledge looking down at a 45 deg angle. Very spooky to take this shot but I got it.
