IC 2602 or the Southern Pleiades.

Cootamundra, NSW.

IC 2602 is a fine, bright Open Cluster situated in Carina the Keel, this cluster covers an area of over 1 degree and is clearly visible to the naked eye shining at magnitude 1.60. This cluster is also known as Collinder 229, Melotte 102, Raab 87 or OCL 838.
