IC 1284 in Ha

Cootamundra, NSW

IC 1284 is a diffuse nebula in the constellation of Sagittarius, magnitude is unknown and it is some 17.00' arc minutes wide. It is very faint and not detectable visually with the Sky 90. IC 1284 is also known as Gum 78 and RCW 153.

Takahashi Sky 90 fitted with a Takahashi Reducer/Flattener and operating at f/4.5.
